Summer to Autumn,
Dirty to clean,
Breakfast to supper,
And Winter to Spring.
Year to decade,
Mix to soufflé,
Yarn to sweater,
And still I wait.
Waiting forever
Is a life of pain,
To hold that hope that
You’ll come again.
Time is gone,
Passed me by,
Like that first sunset,
Marigold sky.
Will you come
Before I die?
Kiss me on the forehead,
And close my eyes?
Life to death,
Hope to hate,
Worry to stillness,
And still I wait.
